Ethical Dilemma

Ethical Dilemma

You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night, when you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for the bus:

  1. an old lady who looks as if she is about to die
  2. an old friend who once saved your life
  3. the perfect partner you have been dreaming about

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car?

Think before you continue reading….

This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.

You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first.

Or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back.

However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.

The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. He simply answered:

“I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the old lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams.”

Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations. Never forget to THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!

However, the correct answer, in men opinion J, is to run the old lady over and put her out of her misery, have sex with the perfect partner against the bus stop sign, then drive off with the old friend for some beers.

How Not to Act in a Job Interview

Here are some great examples of strange behaviour during job interviews.

You would think that any normal person would know better, but apparently not. Here are some examples of hilariously bad behavior interviewers report as actually happening during interviews with potential job candidates.
This list came to us as a survey of top personnel executives from 100 major US corporations--the question was about unusual behavior by job applicants. Whether they're real or not, it's a fun way to illustrate how not to behave.

Ice Chewers

wow! a website dedicated this compulsive behavior that seems so strange in the context of things to become addicted too. Well it's true. I am addicted to the stuff. I have been chewing ice for over 15 years and i don't know why. crushed, cubed, bagged, shaved, dispensed from a machine, falling straight from the sky, I LOVE IT ALL!!! Guilty as charged i'm obsessed with ice.

my favorite thing in the world to do is eat a tray or 2 of ice in bed while i read a good book then turn the blow dryer on myself while the cold sets in. That 2 me is what heaven on earth is all about!!!!!!

anyone out there got a similar wacky ice / blowdryer thing out there. or am i the only one who has discovered this crazy ice warm down thing???

Disappearing Acts

The news that someone has vanished without a trace can lead to gossip, police searches and tabloid headlines. It also can mean more fame in absentia than the missing person ever had when present. Here are some of the modern world's more famous Disappearing Acts.

AMELIA EARHART is possibly the 20th century's most famous disappearing act. The famous aviatrix took off from Oakland, California in May of 1937, intending to be the first person to pilot a plane around the world on an equatorial route. On July 2, on the final days of her flight, she and her navigator Fred Noonan were supposed to land at Howland Island in the South Pacific. They never arrived. They came close; the last transmission from Earhart was heard at 8:43 am local time. Despite an extensive search by the U.S. Navy, Earhart and her plane were never seen again.

Prescription glasses for pets.

glasses for pets

Many animal lovers would do just about anything for their dog or cat -- even buy their precious pet eyeglasses or sunglasses.

That kind of sentiment has fueled the creation of Doggles, prescription glasses for pets, Denver television station KMGH reported.

If you ever wonder what your dog really sees, rest assured that they do see in color, albeit muted tones.

"And typically, it's yellows and blues, whereas people have trichromatic vision, we can perceive the entire visual spectrum," said Dr. Steve Dugan, a veterinarian ophthalmologist.

But how can you tell if your dog is having trouble seeing?

Putting a dog through a makeshift maze is just one of the ways Dugan can test a dog's eyesight.
