I fell for this doorbell immediately, and I don’t even know how it sounds like (hello, can you add a sound clip or something?) - but I think it’s got a very harmonious sound. It’s quite expensive though - $235. I hope they have a nice calibration routine for adjusting the hammer - crystal glasses tend to break very easily.

Drawings On Water

Akishima Laboratories, in Japan, have come up with a way to “draw” words and pictures on the surface of water, using an enclosure surrounded by 50 wave generators. The image is created by water pixels formed from the simultaneous intersection of all those waves.

Each letter or drawing remains in the water for a short while only, then fades away, but the machine can reproduce the same image every three seconds.

George Bush Dog Poop Flags

Madeyouthink.org is giving out these George Bush flags for free, and then you’re supposed to go plant them in piles of dog dung around your neighborhood, take a picture of it, and then upload the picture on their site - needless to say they already have thousands of pictures of the claimed piles.
